Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2, 2026
Texclon is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What data we collect
We collect the following data when you use Texclon:
• Account information: your email address and name when you sign up.
• Connected platform data: OAuth tokens for Gmail and other platforms you choose to connect. These are stored encrypted in your database.
• Message content: emails and messages processed by Texclon to generate AI replies. This content is stored only in your personal Supabase instance and never shared.
• Contact data: names, relationship descriptions, email addresses, and notes you add for the people you communicate with. This data is used solely to personalise how Texclon replies to each person.
• Training data: writing samples and conversational examples you provide to train your persona.
• Usage data: how you interact with the app (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.
• Error data: anonymised crash reports and error traces collected via Sentry to help us fix bugs.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never store card numbers or banking details.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to:
• Provide the Texclon service — generating AI-powered replies that match your tone and style.
• Personalise reply tone per contact based on the relationship context you provide.
• Improve reply quality by learning from your approved and rejected responses.
• Send replies on your behalf when you enable auto-send or manually approve a reply.
• Send notification emails (pending message digests, subscription confirmations) via Resend.
• Process subscription payments via Stripe.
• Diagnose and fix application errors via Sentry.
We do NOT use your messages, contacts, or emails to train shared AI models. Your data is yours and stays in your account.
3. Gmail data
Texclon's use of Gmail data is strictly limited to:
• Reading incoming emails in your inbox to generate suggested replies on your behalf.
• Reading your sent emails (initial setup only, with your explicit permission) to learn your writing tone.
• Sending email replies when you approve a reply or when you have enabled auto-send.
We do not share your Gmail data with any third parties. We do not use Gmail data for advertising or any purpose other than operating the Texclon service for you. Our use complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke Gmail access at any time from: myaccount.google.com/permissions
4. Contacts data
When you add contacts in Texclon, you provide:
• Their name and a short description of your relationship
• Optionally: their email address, social handles, and personal notes
This data is stored securely in your personal database with row-level security — no other user can access it. It is used exclusively to adjust how the AI phrases replies to that specific person (e.g., more formal with a client, more casual with a friend). We do not share contacts data with any third party.
5. AI sending on your behalf
When you approve a reply (or enable auto-send on a Pro or Elite plan), Texclon sends a message on your behalf using your connected account credentials. By enabling this feature, you acknowledge that:
• The message will be sent from your email or messaging account.
• You are responsible for reviewing replies before approving them.
• Auto-send should only be enabled for reply contexts where you are comfortable with AI-generated responses being sent without prior review.
You can disable auto-send at any time in your persona settings.
6. Data storage & security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security enabled — only your authenticated account can read or modify your rows. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. All data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data (messages, contacts, training sessions, personas, connected platforms) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
7. Third-party services
Texclon integrates the following third-party services:
• Supabase — database and authentication
• Groq / OpenAI — AI reply generation (your message content is sent to these services for inference only and is never used to train their models under our agreement)
• Stripe — payment processing
• Google — Gmail API, OAuth 2.0
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Sentry — error monitoring (no personal message content is included)
• Vercel — application hosting
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
• Access all data we hold about you — email support@texclon.site
• Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Revoke Gmail access at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions
• Opt out of notification digest emails from your dashboard settings
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
To request data access or deletion, email support@texclon.site with the subject "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies — only those required for authentication (Supabase session token stored in localStorage, not cookies). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
10. Children
Texclon is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@texclon.site and we will delete the account promptly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as we add new features or integrations. We will notify you by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Texclon after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
